More Than Cheer’s mission is to improve the self-esteem, self-image, and personal development of young women and men through the sport of cheerleading as well as to elevate the sport by providing instruction and guidance to improve the skills of the sports participants.
We are actively seeking individuals with non-profit startup experience to help us create a nonprofit arm to More Than Cheer so we are able to serve more kids that would not normally be able to afford our services.
Currently, More Than Cheer offers scholarships to students that are in financial need to participate in our After School Enrichment programs. MTC has worked with Richmond City Parks and Recreation to create affordable options for technical cheerleading instruction for their summer camp participants. Now we are looking forward to doing large summer camps for Richmond City, Henrico, and Chesterfield where we will focus on technical instruction and personal development.
In addition to everything More Than Cheer does in the community, owner Brittany Rose frequently speaks to groups of cheerleaders, students, and entrepreneurs of all ages about creating lives of freedom and happiness. If you are interested in having her speak to your group or organization, you can contact her at Contact@morethancheer.com.
